UFC 263 in Tweets: Fighters react to Israel Adesanya’s win, Brandon Moreno’s upset

The simmering rivalry between UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori didn’t boil over in the octagon at UFC 263. But Adesanya left no doubt he was the superior fighter with unanimous 50-45 scores at Gila River Arena on Saturday night.
The most explosive display of emotion at Saturday’s event came from Brandon Moreno, who was overcome after upsetting flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo in the co-headliner of the night. Moreno became the first Mexican-born champion on the promotion’s roster and left an enduring feel-good moment for the crowd that survived the largely tactical main event.
