Wiz Khalifa is not shying away from mixed martial arts.

Wiz Khalifa might just give mixed martial arts (MMA) a world.

Khalifa, a 10-time Grammy-nominated rapper, is one of the celebrity investors for the Professional Fighters League (PFL). The “See You Again” rapper trains at Jay Glazer’s celebrity-friendly Unbreakable gym. When asked about giving MMA competition a shot, Khalifa kept an open mind.

“I’ve always been a boxing fan and when MMA started to become big, my cousins convinced me to start training in jiu-jitsu. That was about 5 years ago,” Khalifa said in an interview with Maxim’s Tom Taylor. “I love watching and [fighting is] definitely something I think about, but for now I’m happy as an owner. But you never know. I am always training so if the opportunity presents itself and is something that could be fun and good for everyone, I could see myself getting in the ring.”

PFL Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Peter Murray welcomed Khalifa to get involved with MMA competition in any capacity.

“If Wiz ever wants to get in the cage, whether it be for an exhibition, for charity, or for a professional bout, he’s got the PFL in his corner. He knows who to call,” PFL CEO Peter Murray said of Khalifa.

The 2021 PFL finale kicked off on Wed., Oct. 27. See the live results here.
