‘Violent Bob Ross’ Retires After Getting Reverse Triangled

So long, “Violent Bob Ross.”

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Luis Pena suffered his final loss at Cage Titans 68 last night (Sat., Nov. 9, 2024) when Zach DiSabatino submitted him in the third round with a reverse triangle from inside Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was Pena’s second straight loss.

Check out the submission below:

After the fight, Pena laid his gloves down in the middle of the cage, ending his mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

At just 31 years old, who knows if Pena will actually stay retired, you know, because MMA retirements last only a couple of years.

Pena was released from UFC in Oct. 2021 for two domestic violence charges that happened within weeks of each other. The charges were ultimately dropped two years later.

Since Pena’s release from UFC, he has switched between MMA and boxing, racking up records of 0-2 in boxing (0-4 overall) and 3-5 in MMA. In the end, “Violent Bob Ross” concludes his MMA career with a 12-8 record, going 1-5 in his last five fights.

Pena was not the only UFC veteran to compete at Cage Titans 68; however, he was the only one to lose.

Yorgan De Castro (12-6) scored a knockout win in the main event.

Kris Moutinho (14-6) secured his fifth straight win since being released with a TKO.

And finally, Don Shainis (15-7) scored a second-round submission win.
