Artem Lobov vs. Andre Fili added to UFC Fight Night 118 in Poland

Rising featherweight contender Artem Lobov will step back inside of the cage at UFC Fight Night 118 on Oct. 21 live on UFC Fight Pass from inside the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, when he takes on Team Alpha Male standout Andre Fili, per a recent announcement by UFC.

Lobov, 31, originally turned down a bout with Fili in order to help teammate Conor McGregor prepare for his boxing debut opposite Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Aug 26. “Russian Hammer” is coming off a critical loss to Cub Swanson back at UFC Fight Night 108, but had won his previous two bouts via unanimous decision. He’ll look to bounce back in a big way and work his way towards the top 15 entering 2018.

Fili, 27, is coming off an unexpected defeat at the hands of UFC newcomer Calvin Katter back at UFC 214. “Touchy” has never lost back-to-back fights inside of the Octagon and will look to use his speed and technicality to debunk Lobov’s devastating power.

UFC Fight Night 118 currently has no main event in place, but will also feature a light heavyweight scrap between veteran Jan Blachowicz and rising prospect Devin Clark.
