Belfort: Leave ‘Coward’ Bisping In England

Usually when a fighter gets this upset over the inability to land a rematch, it’s because he or she missed an opportunity to avenge a loss. But Vitor Belfort already beat former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight kingpin Michael Bisping, so I’m not sure why he’s so miffed.

Maybe “The Phenom” wanted to prove he can defeat “The Count” without the assistance of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), which gave Belfort a string of “spectacular fucking victories,” according to this interested observer.

Either way, Bisping turned it down.

“He’s a coward,” Belfort told MMA Junkie. “That Englishman is a coward. I’d never seen a coward Englishman before. He took a blow, got stunned, and he has his lame excuses, you know. Leave him with his arrogance over there in England.”

Liverpool, to be exact.

Belfort will face off against fellow countryman Lyoto Machida at the upcoming UFC 224 pay-per-view (PPV) event on May 12, 2018 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a 185-pound affair that is expected to serve as his final fight inside the Octagon.

“The Phenom” (26-13, 1 NC) got back into the win column by turning away Nate Marquardt at UFC 212. Prior to that, the 40 year-old striker dropped four of five, but had one loss overturned to a “no contest” because of this.
