Bellator 180: ‘NYC’ replay to air free on Spike TV tonight

Bellator 180 (a.k.a. Bellator “NYC”) took place last month (June 24, 2017) at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., featuring a pay-per-view (PPV) main event between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva that attempted to settle a grudge that dated back years.

For those who missed this historic event fight fans now have a second chance to watch the PPV main card the low, low price of NOTHING later on this evening (Fri., July 28, 2017), starting at 9 p.m. ET on Spike TV.

Bellator 180’s encore replay on Spike TV will, of course also feature one of the most memorable moments in the promotion’s history as Fedor Emelianenko and Matt Mitrione landed simultaneous kill shots to register a rare double knockdown. Fortunately for Mitrione, he recovered quicker from the blow and went on to finish the legendary Russian.

The Bellator PPV also featured two world title fights. Welterweight champion Douglas Lima took on former UFC fighter Lorenz Larkin, while Lightweight champion Michael Chandler faced the undefeated Brent Primus. And the fights did not go equally well for both champs.
