Conor McGregor reacts to 8oz glove change, makes up ground in Floyd Mayweather betting line

Today is a great day for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who was “pleased” that Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) allowed his Floyd Mayweather boxing match to be contested in 8oz gloves, as opposed to the previously contracted 10oz mitts.

More on that ruling here.

“I am very pleased with the Nevada State Athletic Commission's handling of my next bout today,” McGregor wrote on Instagram. “Fair play was kept all the way through. This was handled very well and very fairly by the NSAC. I am very pleased and respect the Commission’s ruling on this. 10 days until fight time.”

He wasn’t always the biggest fan of NSAC.

Apparently the bookies charged with setting the lines for Mayweather vs. McGregor are convinced this prediction is true, or at least possible, as today’s glove ruling shifted the betting lines to uncharted waters.

Mayweather vs. McGregor takes place a week from Saturday night (Aug. 26, 2017) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, live on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV). For a closer look at the upcoming “Money Fight” click here.
