On this week’s Eurobash, Petesy Carroll & Niall McGrath describe the mood on the ground in Ireland ahead of Conor McGregor’s upcoming welterweight bout against Donald Cerrone in the UFC 246 main event on Jan. 18 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Although the appetite for the fight is building considerably internationally, Irish newspaper publications carried no mention of the bout in the sports pages a week out from the contest, which is discussed on the show and contrasted to McGregor’s at the height of his power from 2014 to 2016.

Petesy and Niall discuss the implications of a win for the Irishman and how it might help him win some fans back who have strayed from his fan base over the years, as evidenced in MMA Fighting’s recent video in the Irish capital.
