Lightweight veterans Bobby Green and Francisco Trinaldo will collide at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 16, multiple sources told MMA Fighting. The upcoming event in Brazil takes place at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium and airs live on ESPN+.

Trinaldo (23-7) is coming off a close decision loss to Alexander Hernandez in July, his first bout since stopping Evan Dunham with a brutal knee to the liver in Sept. 2018 in Sao Paulo. “Massaranduba” has bounced between wins and losses since Kevin Lee stopped his seven-fight winning streak in 2017.

Green (24-9-1), who announced his retirement from the sport shortly after losing a controversial decision defeat to Drakkar Klose in December, has his back against the wall after winning only one of his last six fights in the UFC dating back to 2014. “King” was 8-1 in the UFC and Strikeforce prior to his recent stretch.

The promotion has yet to announce the main event for UFC Sao Paulo.
