Frank Fertitta just bought a $70 million penthouse in NYC because he’s a billionaire and you’re not

And to think I was chafed for spending six-hundred clams on a new stove.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) owner Frank Fertitta made so much money from selling his mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion last year, that he can blow $70 million on a place to live in New York City.

New York Post with the gory details:

The six-bedroom duplex — one of the priciest apartments in 520 Park, the blue-chip 54-story condo tower currently under construction at East 60th Street — runs a sprawling 9,138 square feet and comes with 279 square feet of exterior space.

The building, designed by Robert A.M. Stern and developed by a Zeckendorf-led team, will have 34 residences: 23 simplex condos, six simplex penthouses, four penthouses duplexes (one is Fertitta’s) and one triplex crowning them all.

It took a lot of blood from guys like these to rack up that kind of coin.

UFC was sold to media powerhouse WME | IMG — headed by super agent Ari Emanuel — for roughly $4 billion last year. The lion’s share went to Fertitta and his brother Lorenzo, who also have casino properties in Nevada.

UFC President Dana White, it should be noted, bought a few mansions of his own.

Just to bulldoze them.
