Frank Mir is going to get his ass kicked by Daniel Cormier ... again

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier might have to plan a return to the heavyweight division, as well as a jump to Bellator MMA, if he hopes to make good on his latest tweet.

It seems “DC” is in a big hurry to whoop Frank Mir, for reasons not quite explained on social media, but nonetheless broadcast for the entire mixed martial arts (MMA) world to see. Cormier took a unanimous decision over the former 265-pound champion when they went to war at UFC on FOX 7 way back in April 2013 (recap).

Since then, the Olympian (19-1, 1 NC) went on to defeat Roy Nelson, then dropped down to 205 pounds where he quickly dispatched Patrick Cummins and Dan Henderson before suffering his first defeat at the hands of Jon Jones.

Mir (18-11), meanwhile, lost four of his next six, then suffered the wrath of United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) before moving on to greener pastures on Spike TV. Since that rules out an Octagon showdown, there’s always the parking lot of the World MMA Awards.
