 Holland v Buckley

Kevin Holland finally found himself a fight earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 8, 2020) at UFC Vegas 6 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, and ended up taking out hard-hitting newcomer Joaquin Buckley via third-round knockout (punch).

The much longer and polished Holland was in control from the beginning of the fight, but Buckley was able to still get inside and launch heavy combinations that would have made Mike Tyson proud. Unfortunately for the newcomer, he didn’t land many of his shots and Holland was able to counter nicely and start scoring in bunches. In Round 3, “Trail Blazer” was able to land a fabulous straight right down the pipe that crumbled Buckley to the canvas. Holland could have jumped in for some ground-and-pound but the referee ended up stepping in anyways.

With this performance, Holland secures his second-straight knockout finish after taking out Anthony Hernandez back in May. Holland continues to show improvements in his game and is on the cusp of challenging someone in the top 15. He may need another finish or two to get there, but the former Dana White Contender Series alum is now 5-2 inside of the Octagon and has never looked better.
