Mark Hunt verbally destroys ‘filthy dog coward’ Fabricio Werdum for taking Derrick Lewis fight

UFC heavyweight contender Mark Hunt is not afraid to speak his mind. The timeless knockout artist is once again taking aim at his divisional peers in disgust of recent matchmaking.

Despite lobbying for a rematch with former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum earlier this month, Hunt was booked in a main event clash with rising talent Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night 121, while Werdum recently signed on to fight Derrick Lewis at UFC 216.

After things failed to go his way, Hunt blasted Werdum through social media suggesting that the Brazilian dodged the rematch.

“Thought u wasn't ready to fight,” Hunt wrote. “You’re a true chicken sh*t, Werdum. F*cking bum. There's two things I hate in fighters; cheaters and filthy dog cowards.”

Ouch. While it’s unlikely that Werdum declined a written offer to fight Hunt, “Super Samoan” sure believes so. Remember, the two met in an interim title fight back at UFC 180 in 2014, which Werdum won via second-round TKO (knee and punches). Werdum went on to win the heavyweight title from then champion Cain Velasquez his next time out, while Hunt lost to future champion Stipe Miocic via knockout.

While future victories for Hunt and Werdum are not guaranteed against worthy challengers like Tybura and Lewis, it’s very likely that these two veterans square off once again by the end of the year. After all, UFC would be foolish not to exploit a budding rivalry like this in a depleted division such as heavyweight.
