Gervonta Davis vs. Francisco Fonseca (junior lightweight - 130 lbs.)

Nathan Cleverly vs. Badou Jack (light heavyweight - 175 lbs.)

Reigning WBA (regular) light heavyweight champion Cleverly (30-4, 16 KOs) put his 175-pound title on the line against Mayweather Promotions own Jack (22-1-2, 12 KOs), who was making his divisional debut after fighting super middleweight James DeGale to a draw this past January. Jack opened up heavy to the body early, while Cleverly returned favor with crisp jabs and timely counters. Jack started to open up with jabs around the outer edges as Cleverly continued to push forward.

Jack really took control in Round 4, landing nasty hooks inside and a powerful combination that forced Cleverly to cover up and retreat. Cleverly felt even more pain when Jack landed a swooping left hook that snapped the Englishman’s head back. Jack was extremely comfortable inside of the ring, changing up speed and levels as Cleverly stood in boxing quicksand. Cleverly got pinned up against the ropes as Jack unloaded precise combinations with bad intentions. With little defensive effort, Cleverly gave the referee more than one reason to jump in for the fifth-round TKO stoppage.

Andrew Tabiti vs. Steve Cunningham (cruiserweight - 200 lbs.)

The opening bout of the PPV main card featured a clash between NABF cruiserweight champion Tabiti (15-0, 12 KOs) and 41-year-old veteran Cunningham (29-9-1, 13 KOs). Cunningham was the more aggressive fighter in the early going, landing a huge counter right hand early into the second round. Tabiti remained mobile and landed some solid shots to the body, but he was consistently on the defense.

Tabiti came out charging in Round 4, landing a fierce combination and then a short uppercut that got Cunningham’s attention. The older veteran became a little sloppy on the inside as Tabiti did his best to either grab a hold or land and escape. When spaced opened up, Tabiti blasted Cunningham with powerful combinations upstairs and to the body. Cunningham used his bigger body to land some solid pieces along the way, but Tabiti started to outclass him. He hurt the older cruiserweight hard to the body on multiple occasions, as Cunningham struggled to win back momentum on the scorecards.

In the end, it was a dominant performance by Tabiti. The youngster peppered Cunningham practically at will and looked good on the defensive side as well. For his efforts, Tabiti walks away with the unanimous decision win.
