Did... did former Trump aide Sam Nunberg just quote Conor McGregor?

Yes, evidently he did.

“Can you report this?” he asked me at one point during our conversation, his voice taking on a gleeful tone. “You have to report this: The champ champ does whatever the fuck he wants.”

“The … who?” I asked.

“The champ champ!”

The “champ champ” turned out to be a reference to one of his favorite UFC fighters.

We already reported that, from the original UFC fighter who said it... but I guess we aren’t the Atlantic. This is far from the only link the UFC has to the Trump administration, as Dana White counts Donald Trump his long-time personal friend.

A number of fighters are officially gone from the UFC, including some unexpected names, such as Galore Bofando.

Here’s what the UFC is missing without Galore Bofando:

Mike Perry’s girl broke up with him at some point between now and his last UFC fight a couple weeks ago. Mike’s wandering eye wondered too far.

I wish him nothing but the very best and still know that one day he will achieve his dream of becoming UFC welterweight champion. “Que sera, sera” whatever will be will be, the futures not ours to see. I am excited to embark on my new life journey. I have no idea where it will take me, the places I will go, or the people I will meet. If you would like to come along with me on this journey I invite you to stay and see where it goes and if you have no interest I can completely understand.
