Paige VanZant planning 2017 return, vows to fight ‘anyone who is available’

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight attraction, Paige VanZant, has been forced to remove herself from the upcoming UFC 216 pay-per-view (PPV) event, booked for Sat., Oct. 7, 2017 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

More on that change here.

The good news for “12 Gauge” fans is that VanZant is expected to make her Octagon return before the end of the year, though no word yet if Jessica Eye — left in limbo ahead of UFC 216 — will be willing to wait around for the eventual do-over.

“Depending on my healing timeline, I’ll fight anyone who is available,” VanZant told MMA Fighting.

The former Dancing with the Stars finalist managed to avoid surgery after re-aggravating a pre-existing back injury when training for Eye, which prompted a mandatory timeout from her physician.
