PFL Drops Epic Video Trailer For ‘Battle Of The Giants’ PPV Event
Professional Fighters League (PFL) is getting ready to stage “Battle of the Giants,” its biggest event to date — one the will rival (or exceed) UFC 306 from inside The Sphere — on Oct. 19, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The pay-per-view (PPV) extravaganza will feature a highly-anticipated Heavyweight title fight between former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 265-pound champion, Francis Ngannou, taking on the promotion’s big man kingpin, Renan Ferreira. In the co-main event, multiple-time tournament winner, Larissa Pacheco, will welcome Bellator MMA’s women’s Featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg, to the “Smart Cage.”
Ahead of the landmark event, PFL has released an amazing promotional video that will get you pumped for what’s to come.
Aside from those two stellar mega bouts, the event will also feature a Middleweight championship rematch between champion Johnny Eblen defending against Fabian Edwards. Eblen (15-0) initially defeated Edwards (13-3) via technical knockout (TKO) at Bellator 299 in Sept. 2023, and now the two men will run it back once more with the chance of a setting up a trilogy fight should Edwards prove victorious.
In Featherweight action, Husein Kadimagomaev will face off against Zafar Mohsen, while a Lightweight fight between A.J. McKee and highly-touted prospect, Paul Hughes, will kick off the main card. Hughes made his Bellator debut earlier this year by defeating Bobby King via second-round technical knockout (TKO). McKee, meanwhile, is out to secure his fourth straight in the 155-pound division in hopes of locking down a title fight.
