Jon Jones reclaimed his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight title at last night’s UFC 214 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Anaheim, California by knocking out Daniel Cormier in the third round of their scheduled five-round title fight.

But according to the official scorecards obtained by MMA Junkie, the fight was even going into the fateful third stanza.

One ringside judge — Gullerme Bravo — actually had Jon winning both rounds prior to becoming the first and only man to finish “DC” inside the Octagon, and defeat him twice, as well.

Nevertheless, “Bones” didn’t want to risk anything by leaving it in the hands of the judges, as he clipped Cormier with a perfect head kick that wobbled the former Olympian. Jones then followed it up with a flying knee attempt before ending the title fight with some vicious ground-and-pound.

Of course, may felt referee Jon McCarthy could’ve — and should’ve — stopped the fight a bit sooner. Nevertheless, Jones is back on top of the MMA world, but for what it’s worth, Cormier hung tough for the first two rounds.
