Pray For Stipe

Remember when Stipe Miocic collapsed against Daniel Cormier in the UFC 226 heavyweight main event? That was nothing compared to what Cain Velasquez will do, if and when the promotion decides to book Miocic vs. Velasquez at some point in 2019.

That’s according to “DC,” who — using the tried-and-true method of MMA math — insists his AKA teammate is actually the superior fighter. So, if the former “baddest man on the planet” was dismantled by the stocky and cocky Olympian, Velasquez might leave him on a stretcher.

“Don’t do that to Stipe!” Cormier told a Twitter follower about the prospect of Miocic vs. Velasquez. “Look what I did to him and Cain is better!”

Another fan, also employing MMA math, asked Cormier to stop claiming G.O.A.T. status if he was inferior to Velasquez.

“Because my accomplishments are crazy doesn’t mean I could ever beat him,” the double-champ fired back. “Doesn’t mean my resume doesn’t stack up with best ever.”

Cormier is expected to fight Brock Lesnar at some point in early 2019, assuming the WWE import can pass all of his pre-fight drug tests. If not, then Miocic may be in line for a “DC” rematch, so long as he can put pen to paper before next March.

Or before this happens.

As for Velasquez, he’s been M.I.A. since planishing Travis Browne at UFC 200 back in summer 2016. The 36 year-old ex-champ has only competed twice over the last five years, coughing up most of his athletic prime to injuries and setbacks.

Perhaps we can pull off another ONE Championship-style trade and swap Lesnar for Velasquez?
