Rachael Ostovich granted temporary restraining order against husband Arnold Berdon

Rachael Ostovich filed for and was granted a temporary restraining order against her husband Arnold Berdon on Tuesday, per court records. TMZ was the first to report the news.

Ostovich, a UFC fighter, was hospitalized Sunday for a broken orbital bone, among other injures, after an alleged attack by Berdon, who is also an MMA fighter. The Honolulu Police Department has opened up a second-degree assault investigation into the manner. No arrest has been made.

Second-degree assault is a felony in Hawaii. The alleged attack happened early Sunday morning at a residence in the Waianae section of Honolulu County following an argument, per police.

The temporary restraining order expires May 18, 2019.

Ostovich, 27, was treated for her injuries and released from the hospital Sunday. She will not be able to compete in what was a scheduled fight with Paige VanZant on the UFC’s ESPN+ debut card Jan. 19 in Brooklyn.

On Monday night, Ostovich’s SuckerPunch Entertainment management team released a statement on the situation.

“A very unfortunate incident occurred Sunday night with Rachael Ostovich that ended with her suffering a fractured orbital and other injuries,” the statement read. ... “Rachael is now home from the hospital with family and will be going back for further check ups on her orbital. The family would like to ask for some privacy as they sort through this matter. We would like to thank the UFC for all their support on this matter as well as the fans and media for your concern.”
