Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno rebooked for UFC Chile

Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno has been rebooked again.

The two ranked flyweights have been scheduled to meet at UFC Chile on May 19. The event, which is headlined by Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Kamaru Usman, is set to go down at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, according to MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.

Borg and Moreno were scheduled to fight at last weekend’s UFC 223 in Brooklyn. But due to the Conor McGregor bus attack at the UFC 223 media day, Borg wasn’t medically cleared to fight, as he had suffered corneal abrasions from having shard of glass in his eye.

The UFC 223 booking was the second time Borg and Moreno were supposed to fight. The key 125-pound contest was originally planned for UFC Austin in February, but the fight ended up being moved to UFC 223 since Moreno had suffered an injury on his right elbow.

The 24-year-old Moreno, ranked seventh in the division, will be looking to bounce back from his first UFC loss. Borg will also be attempting to get back in the winning column, as he lost to champion Demetrious Johnson in his last outing.
