Tony Ferguson fires back at McGregor, Diaz for injury Twitter shots

Tony Ferguson fired back at Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.

Tony Ferguson may be having a rough week, but he isn’t about to hear it from two rivals who haven’t fought in a combined 1,098 days.

Ferguson, in his own unique way, fired back at both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz on social media Tuesday, responding to the twosome’s jabs at Ferguson’s injury withdrawal from UFC 223 by criticizing either man’s inactivity and telling both to “Stay In Your Lane.”

Ferguson first took aim at McGregor, who had subtweeted “El Cucuy” with the line “These fools pull out more times than I do with my dick.”

Ferguson then responded to Diaz, who had done the same with the mocking message, “Lol these guys can’t even make it to war..”

“El Cucuy” was forced to pull out of his scheduled UFC 223 title fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov on Sunday — six days out from fight night — after suffering a knee injury in a freak accident while fulfilling media obligations on the FOX Sports lot. His withdrawal marked the fourth time that a bout between Ferguson and Nurmagomedov has been booked without making it to fight night.

Ferguson opened up about his injury Monday on The MMA Hour.

With Ferguson injured, Nurmagomedov will instead fight UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway on April 7 at UFC 223.
