Two more fights added to UFC on FOX 29

Veteran Tim Boetsch returns to the Octagon on April 14 when he fights Antonio Carlos Junior in a middleweight bout at UFC on FOX 29 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz.

The bout was recently added to the official event page, following an initial report by Combate.

A women’s flyweight bout between The Ultimate Fighter 26 contestant Shana Dobson and Lauren Mueller has also been made official.

Boetsch (21-11) competes in the UFC for the 23rd time in his career. He owns a 12-10 UFC record, with all but three of those appearances being contested at 185 pounds. Most recently, Boetsch defeated Johny Hendricks by second-round TKO at UFC Oklahoma City, which was the third win in four fights for “The Barbarian”.

On a similar stretch of success, 27-year-old Brazilian grappling specialist Carlos Junior will seek his fifth straight win when he clashes with Boetsch. “Cara de Sapato” has back-to-back submission victories over Jack Marshman and Eric Spicely in his last two outings and holds a 9-2 professional record (with one no-contest) overall.

Dobson (3-1) picked up a win in her UFC debut in December. Fighting TUF 26 housemate Ariel Beck, “Danger” ended the encounter by second-round TKO, the first finish of her young career.

Mueller will be competing in the UFC for the first time. This past August, she earned a contract with the promotion by taking a unanimous decision win over Kelly McGill-Velasco on an episode of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. “Princess Tiger” is 4-0 as a pro.
