Tyron Woodley demands public apology from Dana White for UFC 214 criticism or he’ll start ‘leaking sh*t’

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White was highly critical of Tyron Woodley’s performance against Demian Maia in the co-main event of UFC 214, which went down last Saturday night (July 29, 2017) in Anaheim, California.

White’s main beef was that it seemed “The Chosen One” could’ve ended the fight, at the very least, in the second round. Instead, what ensued was lackluster five-round affair, and fight fans let both men hear it throughout a bout that set a record for least amount of punches thrown in a 25-minute title fight.

As result, White revealed that he had taken away the Georges St-Pierre fight from Woodley and gave it to Michel Bisping because “The Count” actually shows up to fight. According to Woodley, though, he threw out his shoulder in the opening round, which played a big part in his performance. Still, he stayed the course and dominated the Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert. A fired up Woodley appeared on “The MMA Hour” to vent his frustrations at the criticism from White.

“My shoulder is fucking torn. I’m upset, I didn’t say anything in the fight, because that’s not what a champion does,” Woodley said. I went out there and completely dominated a fighter who was on seven-fight win streak.

“Everybody else that went into this person’s, with their tools, was either taken down or submitted or dominated,” he continued. “Same thing with Stephen Thompson: Seven-fight win streak, beat former champions, former No. 1 contenders and I outclassed both fighters. So, the lack of respect, not only from the fans, but true mixed martial artists, people that understand what’s going on — I’m actually out there painting greatness. I am beating people at their world class art. His 22 shots came out short. He didn't come close to one,” said the Welterweight champion.

Still, what irked him the most was that White — who is supposed to be promoting him — actually tried to tear him down. As a result, he demanded a public apology from his boss ... or else.

“I don’t care so much about the fans, but when your job title is promoter, promote your fucking fighter,” he said. “Promote your champion, don’t demote your champion. I threw my shoulder out in the first round and I wasn’t able to throw any damaging shots. I still stayed the course, stayed on task and stayed on point. I executed the gameplan after having to reduce my shots to straight punches. I didn’t even tell my coaches until I was getting my medicals after.

He also took some shots at Bisping and Conor McGregor.

“So while I’m out her fighting No. 1 contenders back-to-back-to- back while Bisping gets to take a long hiatus, faking a knee injury not fighting Yoel, coming back to fight Georges and fighting Dan Henderson who is outside top 15. And that’s not even getting on Conor, he can do whatever the fuck he wants to do. Let me say I want to fight Georges St-Pierre, who just so happens to be a damn welterweight, let me say I want to fight him. And the fans go nuts and go crazy, and I haven't earned a big title fight, I’m not a draw. I’m boring when I have nine first-round finishes,” he added.

“That’s the stupidest shit ever. So I am mad because I had (torn labrum) surgery before and it’s not fun and not a fun recovery. So I am owed a public apology. You want to publicly scrutinize me Dana White, you need to publicly apologize to me. I’ve done nothing but good things for this sport, nothing but a good model for the organization.

“I go out there and fight with integrity,” he continued. “I covered your sport on the FOX desk a week before the fight, I always uphold my responsibilities with the organization. It’s time out for that. The word behind business is ‘man.’ You need to be man and you owe me a public apology. And if I don’t get that, I am going to start leaking some shit you don’t want to be out in the wind, and I am not even kidding about that. They know what I’m referring to. I am due a public apology. I better get it. I am tired of it.”

Shit just got real.
