Is This UFC 308 Fight Poster A Hit Or Miss?
The official fight poster just dropped for the anticipated UFC 308 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Oct. 26 from Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the verdict is out on just how good the artwork is.
In case you forgot, Ilia Topuria will defend his UFC featherweight title for the first time since knocking out Alexander Volkanovski when he meets Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 308. “Blessed” is coming off his spectacular last-second knockout stoppage over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 to win the “BMF” title so these two guys are meeting at the perfect time.
Luckily, the promotion has stacked a ridiculous card to compliment the featherweight headliner. This includes a five-round, co-main event clash between former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and undefeated rising contender Khamzat Chimaev. Their matchup was supposed to go down at UFC Saudi Arabia back in June, but Khamzat withdrew from the main event due to serious medical issues.
The fun won’t stop there as UFC 308 will feature even more fan-friendly matchups on the PPV main card. This includes Ciryl Gane vs. Alexander Volkov 2, Magomed Ankalaev vs. Aleksandar Rakic, and the Octagon return of undefeated sensation Sharabutdin Magomedov. The “Prelims” undercard will feature the likes of Rafael dos Anjos, Lerone Murphy, Dan Ige, Geoff Neal, Said Nurmagomedov and many more.
On Friday, the promotion released the official fight poster for UFC 308. While the matchups on paper are absolutely bonkers the artwork for the pre-fight poster isn’t all that great. The poster features the top two fights of the PPV main card, but the design could have been a little more intricate.
