UFC 238: Cejudo vs. Moraes took place June 8 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. UFC strawweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (17-3) squared off against Jessica Eye (14-7, 1 no-contest) in the co-main event, which aired live on ESPN+ pay-per-view. Catch more video highlights below.

Round 1: Eye opens up this title fight by pressuring but eats a big liver kick early. And another. And another. Shevchenko’s southpaw stance is already paying dividens. Eye rushes in and Shevchenko ducks under into the body lock and then slams Eye down with a trip. Shevchenko’s is in side control but Eye recovers half guard. The champion is being patient and looking to pass. She does and is now in full mount but Eye recomposes. Anik screams as Eye taps the back of the head but it was just an errant hand motion and the fight never stops. Funny moment though as Rogan ribs Anik about it. Meanwhile, not much is happening on the ground, just some short shots from the champion as she is trying to find an opening to advance position. Eye tries to create a scramble. It doesn’t work but she does get to full guard but the boo birds are making an early appearance. Eye gets back to the cage and stands but eats a few shots in the process. Now Shevchenko is grinding against the fence and lands another big trip takedown into side control. Shevchenko is looking for the mounted crucifix this time and Eye is completely stuck. Short time though but Shevchenko locks up an Americana and is wrenching it! Eye rolls through and the round ends with Eye in almost an inverted triangle having just narrowly escaped the submission.

Round 2: Eye comes out in a very awkward stance, almost completely sideways. But she eats another huge liver kick. OH MY GOD. SHEVCHENKO OBLITERATES EYE WITH A MONSTER HEAD KICK. It sounded like a bat smashed her in the head. Eye is still out cold over a minute after the kick lands and the medical team is attending to her. She is now starting to move but that was a truly scary KO.
