Video: Brock Lesnar’s manager teases UFC return on WWE RAW

Brock Lesnar’s return to mixed martial arts (MMA), or at least the discussion of said return, spilled over into the world of professional wrestling on Monday (Aug. 14, 2017), as the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Universal Champion hinted at making his return to the cage during the promotion’s flagship program Monday Night RAW.

By way of manager and full-time mouthpiece Paul Heyman.

“One of two things happens this Sunday at SummerSlam,” Heyman said. “One, the conspiracy by WWE General Manager Kurt Angle is successful and they rip the Universal title off of my client Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman leave the WWE. And if that is the case I assure you that you might as well lock this beast up in a cage!”

Lesnar, who once held gold for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), defends his WWE title in a Fatal 4-Way Match this weekend in Brooklyn, New York, in what is historically the organization’s second biggest pay-per-view (PPV) event of the year, behind WrestleMania.

If and when Lesnar does make his return to combat sports, reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will be waiting. “Bones” called for a Lesnar showdown — at heavyweight — later this year, which means one of these two men could be kept in a holding pattern.

Especially if this report pans out.
