Video! O’Malley Towers Over Merab For Final Faceoff
Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili came face-to-face one last time ahead of their title fight clash tomorrow evening (Sat., Sept. 14, 2024) at UFC 306 live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, and you could have cut the tension with a knife.
The two fighters will meet in UFC 306’s main event as the promotion stages its first event at the The Sphere this weekend. It will be a homage to Mexican fighting and provide fight fans will a unique experience like none other. UFC needed a big-time matchup to lead the charge so they called upon O’Malley, who is arguably the sport’s biggest star until you know who returns.
Luckily, the fun doesn’t stop there. UFC 306 (also known as Noche UFC) will feature 10 total fights. This includes a trilogy title fight between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko, as well as a featherweight scrap featuring exciting contenders Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes. Not to mention the collection of Mexican fighters competing on the undercard.
On Friday, the UFC 306 ceremonial weigh ins went down from “Sin City” and offered some very intense staredowns. This included the headlining act alongside a few other premier matchups going down from inside The Sphere. Check out some of the final faceoffs below:
