Video: UFC releases exclusive Conor McGregor training footage from inside Performance Institute

Fight fans have been itching for some boxing footage of UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor ahead of his superfight with Floyd Mayweather on Aug. 26 live on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Despite his success inside of the Octagon, McGregor has never boxed professionally and will be making his debut against one of the best fighters of all time.

People have wondered what sort of gameplan McGregor is going to follow against “Money,” especially considering he’s coming from a unique mixed martial arts (MMA) background. While there has yet to be any significant footage of McGregor sparring other boxers inside of the ring, UFC just released a behind-the-scenes look at “Notorious” training inside the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.

As many expected, McGregor does not resemble your usual boxer. Instead, the 29-year-old UFC superstar can be seen moving around the ring in an unorthodox fashion by utilizing his range, size, mobility, and movement. The video is short, but these are the type of advancements McGregor will have to master if he’s going to catch Mayweather off guard later this month.
