Jake Paul went from training with Olympic boxers to actually fighting them.

“El Gallo” revealed his plans to enter the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, where the celebrity pugilist aims to capture a gold medal for the United States. That would put him in pretty good company, alongside Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Oscar De La Hoya, among others.

Paul, 27, is a 10-1 cruiserweight with seven knockouts.

“I’m going to enter the 2028 Olympics for boxing in Los Angeles,” Paul said. “I’m sick and tired of waiting for another gold medal for Team USA. I’m not retiring. I probably just added a couple of years onto my boxing career because of that. Gold medal, you’re mine brother.”

Hopefully he doesn’t face Tommy Fury in the Olympic trials.

Before Paul can worry about the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, he must first get past former WBC heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike Tyson this November on Netflix. The pugilists are expected to face off during a special pre-fight press conference planned for Fanatics Fest later this month in New York.
