Tracy Cortez vs. Ailin Perez?!?!

Ailin Perez scored her fourth Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) win at UFC Paris last night (Sat., Sept. 28, 2024) when she defeated Russia’s Darya Zheleznyakova via first-round arm-triangle choke and then twerked on her from inside Accor Arena in Paris, France (watch highlights).
The big storyline going into the fight was Perez missing weight by .5 lbs and then getting roasted by UFC Flyweight Tracy Cortez, who Perez trashed for cutting her hair to make weight before her UFC main event fight at UFC Denver earlier this year (catch up here).
After her win, Perez hopped on Twitter to challenge Cortez to fight.
Hey [Tracy Cortez], if you want to fight, let’s do it,” Perez wrote. “You fought at 135 before. I’ll even make weight this time for you, I promise, or you scared and are going to block me like you do your replies on X.”

Cortez was “unbothered” by the challenge, flaunting her hot pink Jeep in response.

Perez clapped back at Cortez by calling her scared.
“Tracy is scared because she talks a lot about me without tagging me,” Perez wrote. “I’m not surprised being that you lost to a strawweight.”

I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of his random, fun feud. However, it is highly unlikely that there will be a potential fight as the two are in different divisions, and Cortez is on a different level regarding stardom and standing with the promotion.
Maybe they will scrap at the UFC Performance Institute.
Perez is riding a four-fight winning streak, while Cortez is coming off her first UFC loss.
