"The Notorious" has finally reacted to his rival's loss.
Michael Chandler's return to active competition was spoiled at UFC 309 this past weekend (Sat., Nov. 16, 2024) when he got dominated for five rounds by Charles Oliveira in their rematch to lose a unanimous decision (watch highlights).
Conor McGregor was silent this weekend about the fight, but today (Mon., Nov. 18, 2024), two days after the fight, he tweeted about "Iron's" loss (and then he deleted it).
Thankfully, the internet remembers everything.
"Cut Michael Chandler! Just kidding, good fight," McGregor wrote. "Mad little fellow is Michael. I like 'em!"

Even if McGregor wanted Chandler cut after his loss, it wouldn't happen because UFC CEO Dana White loves him.
"He's like an Arturo Gatti," White told the media during the UFC 309 post-fight press conference. "He's one of those – win, lose, or draw, you're never bummed out at the end of a Michael Chandler fight. He's always exciting, he's always fun. In the last round of that fight, he kept getting taken down. He got on his back. So when he got on his back at the end, he just stood up and started slamming him...The kid always tries to win. He always comes to fight, and Michael Chandler's always going to have a home here. Until he decides to retire, Michael Chandler isn't going anywhere."
You already know by now that McGregor and Chandler were supposed to collide earlier this year for International Fight Week, but the fight was scrapped due to a McGregor toe injury.
Chandler hopes to fight McGregor next year, and if he does ... White told reporters on Saturday that McGregor won't fight until late next year.
Hopefully, he learned a lesson last time.
