Mick Terrill retained his BKFC heavyweight title after putting Lorenzo Hunt down with an uppercut in the opening round, but it was a gruesome arm injury that actually ended their co-headlining bout at BKFC KnuckleMania 4.

The fighters swung hard and heavy as soon as the action began, but Terrill showed off his size advantage over the former cruiserweight and middleweight BKFC champion.

Terrill scored on a beautiful uppercut that snapped Hunt’s head back, causing Hunt to fall to the canvas in awkward fashion, with his arm basically behind his back. As soon as Hunt hit the ground, he pointed to his arm and it was clear he suffered a dislocated elbow from the fall.

The fight was stopped immediately, with the end coming at 1:48 of the opening round.

“Obviously, Lorenzo broke his arm there. I won and that’s great,” Terrill said afterward. “I like Lorenzo. But I did drop him with the uppercut when he broke his arm.”

Hunt was understandably disappointed, especially after tried to become the first ever three-division champion in BKFC history. Hunt has been a constant presence in BKFC almost since the start, but the injury ended his attempt at becoming heavyweight champion.

“I wasn’t hurt really bad, I could have got up and kept fighting,” Hunt said. “My arm dislocated. I didn’t work out for my tonight. Every division is still on notice. You guys will see me again soon.”
