Bellator San Diego Loses Co-Main Event
BELLATOR MMA/LUCAS NOONAN
The upcoming Bellator San Diego event, which is set to go down inside Pechanga Arena in San Diego, Calif., on Sept, 7, 2024, has taken a couple of hits. Per a post on X, the promotion announced that the co-main event featuring former interim bantamweight champion, Raufeon Stots, and Marcos Breno has been removed from the event.
As a result, the new co-headlining act will feature welterweight standouts Lorenz Larkin and Levan Chokheli doing battle, while a women’s flyweight fight between Mackenzie Stiller and Sumiko Inaba has been promoted to the main card. A middleweight fight between Grant Neal and Khalid Murtazaliev, has also been yanked from the card.
No reason for the removal of the fights was given, but Stots revealed on X that the fight has been rescheduled for a later date.

In the main event of the evening, lightweight champion, Usman Nurmagomedov, will defend his title against Alexandr Shabliy. The duo was set to headline Bellator Paris last may before an injury forced the champion of the 155-pound showdown.
Bellator San Diego will air on Max in the United States and on DAZN in the United Kingdom starting at 7:30 pm ET.
